Job description

We're looking for new team members to join FanDuel Sports Network, the nation's largest provider of live local sports.

As a local sports media platform, we're proud to be the local media partner for 29 MLB, NHL, and NBA teams, producing and delivering over 3,000 live games and events every year. The Position:

The Inventory Analyst, Ad Sales plays a critical role in maximizing the value of FanDuel Sports Network's commercial inventory across live broadcasts and shoulder programming. Focused primarily on MLB, NBA, and NHL properties, this role ensures our ad inventory is forecasted accurately, sold efficiently, monetized strategically across both linear and digital platforms.

We have 2 positions available. 1 located in St. Louis, MO and the other can be located in Atlanta, GA or NYC.

The Game Plan:
(What you will do)

  • Track, analyze, and forecast advertising inventory across live sports broadcasts (MLB, NBA, NHL) and original programming across all RSNs.
  • Partner with Sales, Planning, and Programming teams to align inventory availability with content schedules and sales strategy.
  • Monitor sell-through rates, preemptions, and under/over-sold areas to support revenue maximization.
  • Identify revenue opportunities in shoulder programming, pre/post-game shows, and special events.
  • Support pricing strategies by providing data-driven insights on inventory demand, ratings performance, and market trends.
  • Maintain inventory management systems and dashboards (e.g., WideOrbit, Excel, Power BI) to ensure real-time accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the linear and digital ad ops teams to coordinate inventory across cable and streaming platforms.
  • Provide regular reporting and post-campaign analysis to internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Stay informed on programming changes, league schedules, and playoff scenarios that may impact inventory.

  • Strong analytical and Excel skills (pivot tables, x-lookups, modeling).
  • Familiarity with live sports schedules, seasonality, and local broadcast considerations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with live event pressure.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • A passion for local sports and fan-first media experiences.
  • Knowledge of ratings systems (e.g., Nielsen) and performance measurement tools.

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual base compensation range for this role is $28 - $38/hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
