Job description

Salary Range

$1,050 per credit hour 

Position Summary

The Department of History & Political Science offers a B.A. in History. It also has two M.A. graduate programs: Southwest Studies, History & Political Science Concentration; Public Affairs, History Concentration. The Contingent faculty will be responsible for teaching a course in the area of American History (lower & upper division), such as U.S. History I and U.S. History II, Civil War & Reconstruction, Women in the United States, or The American Presidency.

Duties and Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching a U.S. History course, course assignments & assessments. Teaching may require the knowledge of different modes of instruction (i.e., Zoom, Asynchronous, In-person, or Blended).

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s or Ph.D. in American History from a Department of History at an accredited university. Experience in teaching History courses.
