Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Information Technology Applications and Business Partnering, the IT Manager is responsible for planning, service execution and oversight of technology that supports business operations at Lycoming. The candidate must be able to balance daily operations and project work in a large scale, highly complex, cross-functional operating environment. The candidate should possess a natural enthusiasm for IT, diverse technical experience, business acumen, and strong customer service skills.

 Job Responsibilities:

          Accomplish team results by developing talent and leading a team of IT professionals with varying levels of experience. Sets individual objectives to match departmental objectives

          Partner and consult with business leaders to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve goals

          Facilitate the design and implementation of enterprise class IT solutions

          Oversee development projects, including application design, development, testing, and deployment

          Provide technical and analytical guidance as it relates to IT infrastructure, business systems, application functionality, user acceptance testing, change management, and data integration

          Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget 

          Manage multiple concurrent technology projects

          Ensure systems meet or exceed agreed upon SLAs and OLAs

          Provide application/system outage support

          Work closely with IT Oracle Developers, end users, business leadership, ITRM

          Liaison with shared support teams at the business unit, enterprise, and with third party vendors

          Support E&Y and Textron Audit Services (TAS) audits

          Adhere to change control policies and procedures as well as system, software development, and project management lifecycle methodologies

          Work closely with IT security to mitigate risks associated with infrastructure systems

          Safeguard assets by ensuring appropriate disaster recovery and back-up procedures, vulnerability management, and information security and control structures

          Create and maintain IT process documentation

          Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

          Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology.

          Minimum 3-4 years IT related experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

          Knowledge of enterprise collaboration platforms and IT systems including ERP, MES, PLM, etc.

          Experience managing teams/projects; Works under general direction of senior management

          Strong background in managing complex IT projects, excellent communication skills, experience working in a fast-paced environment, and has superb relationship building skills

          Ability to multi-task and meet agreed upon schedule requirements

          Must exhibit the ability to understand a wide range of business processes

          Ability to maintain a strong attention to detail, maintain customer-oriented focus, and collaborate and function effectively within a team environment

          Must exhibit the ability to effectively interface with peers, employees, management and customers within the organization

This position will be Full-Time onsite at Lycoming facility based in the Williamsport, PA office.
