Job description

Currently recruiting afull-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) located on Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides hands on clinical support to surgical and perioperative teams at WBAMC. The LVN functions under the supervision of an RN or physician to support patient care activities before and after surgical procedures. The works schedule varies by ward mission;may include outpatient clinic hours (0730 1630) or rotating inpatient schedules depending on surgical assignment. Job Responsibilities of the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN):
  • Assist with patient intake, preparation, positioning, and post procedure recovery
  • Monitor and document vital signs and patient status
  • Perform clinical support tasks within LVN scope of practice
  • Maintain sterile environments and assist with infection control procedures
  • Support same day surgery and inpatient surgical workflows
  • Communicate patient observations to RNs and providers
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with WBAMC protocols
Job Qualifications of the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN):
  • Active, unrestricted LVN license
  • A diploma or certificate of training from a school or program of instruction recognized by the American Nurses Association
  • A minimum of one year of experience within the last year working as a full-time LVN
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • English language proficiency
