Job Summary

The LVN II is accountable and responsible for selected aspects of patient care for a designated group of patients within the LVN scope of practice, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The LVN practice is assigned, delegated, and supervised by a RN or MD who has overall responsibility for the coordination and management of care.

Pay Range

Minimum $30.94 Midpoint $40.99 Maximum $51.05

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

Required: Minimum one (1) year of LVN experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.

Education

Required: Graduate of an accredited school for Licensed Vocational Nursing.

Training

Required: None required.

Specialized Skills

Required: Knowledge and ability to provide age appropriate patient care and cultural and spiritual needs. Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards and respect; advance care through development of new ideas and technology; promote teamwork to achieve CHOC's mission; understand and exceed customer expectations; effectively solve complex patient care and organizational problems; role model positive and professional behavior. Ability to think critically; work independently; manage multiple assignments; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.

Preferred: Bilingual in English/ Spanish both written and verbal.

Licensure

Required: Basic Life Support (BLS); Licensed Vocational Nurse - CA (LVN)
