The Regional Data Lead will collaborate across all business units—including Maisons and Discos—to optimize, design, and build data flows from the ground up where necessary. Working within a globally integrated information technology team, this role ensures consistent data delivery across the business and serves as a critical bridge between central data teams and regional business units. The Regional Data Lead ensures regional data initiatives are aligned with business objectives and that data-driven insights inform strategic decision-making and operational excellence.

Office/Location: Hybrid 3x a week based out of NYC Office

Compensation: $130,000-$163,000/ annually + bonus

Job responsibilities
  • Develop and execute regional data strategy aligned with global and regional business priorities, identifying opportunities to leverage data, analytics, and AI to drive business value, process improvement, and data centricity.
  • Partnered closely with business stakeholders, executives, IT, and central data teams to identify and onboard Data Owners and Data Product Owners, support data literacy, address data needs, and ensure effective integration of systems and platforms across the region.
  • Lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to deliver actionable insights, while overseeing the development of analytics tools, data pipelines, and scalable solutions supporting customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and key business metrics.
  • Act as the regional point of contact for Data & AI, supporting AI and advanced analytics initiatives from framing through deployment, advising teams on opportunities and governance, and driving change management and operational readiness.
  • Ensured strong data governance across regional data assets by promoting best practices in data management, reporting, data quality, security, PII documentation, Responsible AI assessment, and compliance with organizational security guidelines.
  • Foster collaboration and consistency across businesses and countries by participating in portfolio syncs, building local Data & AI communities, sharing best practices, and helping shape a scalable regional data ecosystem adapted to both common and market-specific needs.
  • Applied expertise in GCP, data governance, data mesh principles, Agile/SaFe delivery, automation, and infrastructure scalability to improve data operations, reporting, and cross-functional execution
Project Management
  • Manage end-to-end project delivery of data solutions, from business case development through user adoption and ongoing operation (including scope, specification, UAT, rollout, and adoption).
  • Lead the implementation of data solutions across entities in the Americas, coordinating business and IT stakeholders.
  • Coordinate external vendors and internal teams to ensure solutions deliver expected business value.

Profile

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in data management, analytics, or a similar role, preferably in a regional or multi-market context.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, Python, Power BI).
  • Experience with data governance, data privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to translate complex data findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Proficient in performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience with structured / unstructured data.
