Summary
Evaluates and treats patients in accordance with LVHN Medical staff by-laws and applicable policies. Maintains licensure, LVHN medical staff privileges and ability to provide optimum care. Coordinates patient care efficiently and effectively with LVHN representatives and staff members. Supervises Advanced Practice Clinicians, physicians, residents, fellows and medical students, when needed. Collaborates with colleagues to fulfill the missions of LVHN.
Job Duties
  • Provides quality evaluation and treatment to patients.
  • Involves patients, families, and colleagues in providing high quality patient-centered care and service excellence. Encourages and models constructive dialogue and crucial conversations.
  • Collaborates with colleagues and participates in LVHN activities. Maintains optimal availability for patient care. Promotes the health of the community.
  • Monitors patient satisfaction scores and works with leadership on strategies to improve the patient experience.
  • Documents and codes all patient visits and encounters in appropriate medical record in accordance with LVHN or other applicable compliance standards, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Uses standard processes and evidence-based guidelines to achieve quality care. Supports LVHN resources and practitioners by promoting and referring internally, when appropriate, to enhance quality. Utilizes LVHN resources efficiently and effectively, including EMR technology, while ensuring timely, appropriate, and quality medical documentation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Medical Degree Accredited program.
  • PA Medical License - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Physical Demands
Depending on role and specialty as well as condition of the patient, this may vary and include light energy levels of lifting or carrying 25 lbs. through high energy which would include lifting 50 lbs., pushing and pulling and carrying items short distances.
