Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organizedReturns & Authentication Assistantto support the efficient processing of returned merchandise across wholesale and select direct-to-consumer channels. This role plays a critical part in ensuring inventory accuracy, upholding authentication standards, and maintaining a seamless returns experience across the business.

The ideal candidate will have experience in retail resale, logistics, or returns processing, along with a strong understanding of luxury product authentication. This individual will work cross-functionally with Customer Experience, Wholesale, Finance, Operations, and Authentication teams to ensure all returned items are properly evaluated, documented, and routed in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process, inspect, and track incoming returns, ensuring accuracy, condition, and policy compliance
  • Document return details, including reason codes and product condition, within internal systems
  • Assess returned merchandise for authenticity and resale eligibility, escalating concerns as needed
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve return-related issues and support timely refunds, exchanges, or credits
  • Maintain organized records and support inventory reconciliation efforts
  • Assist the Authentication team with product verification and uphold strict authentication standards
  • Identify and flag damaged, counterfeit, or non-compliant items for further review
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workspace

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in retail resale operations, logistics, returns processing, or a related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in luxury authentication preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume workflows with accuracy
  • Proficiency in inventory or order management systems is a plus
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • High level of discretion when handling sensitive or high-value merchandise
  • Flexibility to support business needs, including peak return periods
