Job description

Overview

The Hospitality Sales Account Manager is a home-based position responsible for driving Lutron’s growth across strategic brands with HQ or presence in North America.  In this role, you will have a strategic focus on key luxury hotel brands and developers. This role is especially critical in capitalizing on the accelerated hospitality development through adoption of our technology and early access to brands pipeline.  You will support globally where these brands reach and complement the regional closing strategy teams.

In this role, you will build trusted relationships with brands, key developers in region, to promote the standardization of Lutron’s intelligent lighting, lighting controls, temperature controls and shading solutions; generate demand, and secure early-stage specification on flagship hotel and mixed-use projects. Deep cultural understanding, proven business etiquette, and sensitivity to regional cultural protocols and will be essential in establishing credibility and long-term partnerships.

Success in this role will require close collaboration with internal teams—across sales, marketing, and business development—to tailor strategies that align with regional priorities, such as world events that drive tourism growth (World Cup, Olympics, etc.) and the luxury tourism investments in the in key pockets and make sure we follow them. The ultimate objective is to enhance Lutron’s influence with top-tier hotel brands, increase project conversion rates, and support repeat business through relationship-driven engagement. In this role, you will be very focused on growing the business development with identified brands and gain access to key development groups.


Responsibilities

Hospitality Market & Account Strategy

  • Develop and execute a strategic approach to priority hospitality markets, with an emphasis on luxury, resort, and largescale ("giga") developments.
  • Identify and prioritize highvalue hotel brands, developers, and projects based on influence, scale, and timing.
  • Track major hospitality developments to ensure early inclusion in the design process and maximize specification opportunities.

Strategic Account Management – Hotel Brands

  • Build seniorlevel relationships with global and regional hotel brand design and technical teams.
  • Support integration of Lutron solutions into brand standards, design guidelines, and longterm development strategies.
  • Partner with internal regional teams to ensure coordinated engagement and successful project conversion.
  • Drive preferred partner and standardization opportunities across guest rooms, residences, and public spaces.

Developer & Design Influencer Engagement

  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with leading hospitality developers, architects, lighting designers, and MEP consultants.
  • Position Lutron as a basisofdesign solution through consultative engagement and tailored technical support.
  • Ensure appropriate Lutron resources are engaged to support design intent and secure specifications.

Industry Leadership & Partnerships

  • Represent Lutron at major hospitality conferences, forums, and industry events.
  • Build strategic relationships with complementary ecosystem partners and technology integrators.
  • Collaborate crossregionally to strengthen Lutron’s presence and influence within the global hospitality community.

Internal Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as a senior hospitality leader within Lutron, influencing strategy, pipeline development, and longterm growth.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, marketing, and product teams to deliver a seamless client experience.
  • Capture and share market and customer insights to inform product development and hospitalityspecific strategies.
  • Maintain accurate project and account data within Salesforce CRM.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in sales, technology or the design construction field
  • Experience selling to the hospitality community, preferred
  • Proven consultative sales skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate crossfunctionally to drive initiatives to completion
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, particularly Salesforce, is a plus
  • Ability to travel 35%-50%, as required
  • Personal vehicle and Driver's License required
