Lutron is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineering Co-Op to join our collaborative team and contribute to high-impact projects. In this role, you will help design and deliver firmware-driven solutions that power smart lighting and shading systems. At Lutron, your interest in embedded firmware engineering will grow through hands-on experience, practical skill-building, and collaboration with experienced embedded firmware engineers in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities
Your co-op at Lutron could offer you the opportunity to work on:
  • Writing firmware for our microprocessor-based products
  • Code reviews and technical discussions
  • Firmware debugging, testing and tracing
  • Driving active projects in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Learning and applying newly adopted tools and technologies to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability

Qualifications

  • You have broad interests in engineering, design and development
  • You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H-1B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position
  • Willing and available to work on-site 5 days per week

Lutron is a team-oriented environment, and you will work within these teams to look at broad issues and identify root causes, not just quick fixes. You must have a willingness to ask tough questions, seek out new resources, and work hard to find the best solution.
Here is what you can expect from our co-op program:
  • Competitive pay
  • Housing resources
  • Meaningful project-based work
