Lutron is seeking a Lead Data Engineer in Coopersburg, PA or Philadelphia, PA to help build and scale a modern, cloud-native data and AI platform powering analytics, real-time intelligence, and next-generation products. In this role, you will shape the architecture and direction of our enterprise data ecosystem while applying your expertise in distributed systems, data platforms, and AI enablement.

You will lead scalable data solutions, drive modern engineering practices, and mentor engineers across teams. Apply your experience in streaming pipelines, cloud platforms, and data modeling to deliver high-impact systems powering intelligent products and business insights.


Responsibilities
  • Guide the developmentof Lutron’s cloud-based data ecosystem. 
  • Mentordata engineers, software engineers, and data scientists. 
  • Drive best practices in data engineering, governance, security, and scalability across teams. 
  • Streamline data accessand champion data literacy across the company. 
  • Process, clean, and validatethe integrity of large-scale datasets. 
  • Architect cloud-based solutionsleveraging AWS and Microsoft platforms. 
  • Model data for the business, enabling accurate analytics, KPIs, and decision-making across functional areas. 
  • Build and maintain infrastructureto host, manage, and automate machine learning models and advanced analytics. 
  • Support AI/ML workflowsby developing scalable pipelines for model training, deployment, monitoring, and versioning. 
  • Integrate AI-driven toolssuch as recommendation engines, natural language processing, and predictive analytics into enterprise systems. 
  • Optimize data pipelinesfor large-scale feature engineering, experiment tracking, and real-time inference. 
  • Collaborate with data scientiststo productionize AI models and agents, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance. 
  • Ensure performance and data qualitythrough SQL programming and optimization. 
  • Communicate technical conceptsclearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
