Job description

We are looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our team specializing in high-end residential and commercial automation systems. In this role, you will troubleshoot, service, program, and optimize integrated smart home and AV solutions, ensuring our clients enjoy reliable, high-performance systems. If you have hands-on expertise with Savant, Lutron, Axis cameras, networking, and general AV equipment — and you pride yourself on excellent documentation and customer follow-up — we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site service calls, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs for integrated AV, automation, lighting, security, and control systems

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues with networking equipment, Savant control platforms, Lutron lighting and shading systems, Axis camera systems, and general AV components

• Program, configure, and commission networks, Savant automation systems, Lutron processors, Axis cameras, and related smart home/AV equipment

• Work directly with clients on recommending, planning, and implementing new equipment installations or system upgrades

• Maintain and manage client service/maintenance agreements, including scheduling and performing regular system checks

• Proactively monitor, check system operation, apply firmware/software updates, and resolve potential issues before they impact the client

• Document all service work, including troubleshooting steps, resolutions, system configurations, maintenance activities, and notes in a clear, accurate, and timely manner

• Follow up with clients after service visits or maintenance to verify system performance and ensure complete customer satisfaction

• Test and optimize system performance, including signal flow, connectivity, integration between AV, lighting, security cameras, and control systems

• Install, configure, and maintain wired and wireless networks and AV infrastructure as needed during service and maintenance visits

• Collaborate with the team to maintain high standards of quality and professionalism on every job

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience troubleshooting, programming, and servicing Savant, Lutron, Axis camera systems, and integrated AV/network solutions

• Strong working knowledge of general AV equipment, including audio, video distribution, control systems, and low-voltage wiring

• Excellent documentation skills and a customer-focused approach with strong follow-up abilities

• Ability to work independently, manage service calls efficiently, and solve complex technical issues on-site

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with a clean driving record

• Ability to lift moderate equipment and work in various residential/commercial environments

• Relevant certifications (Lutron, Savant, Axis, Crestron, or general AV/networking) are highly preferred but not required
