Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find an energetic Lumper in Atlanta, GA. In this physically active and fast-paced role, you will be responsible for manually loading and unloading cargo containers at dock doors for a leading commercial sheet, linen, and apron distributor. In a Lumper job, you’ll be responsible for:
  • Manually loading and unloading heavy freight trucks and trailers at warehouse dock doors.
  • Unpacking, sorting, and stacking boxed linens, aprons, and commercial textile shipments.
  • Palletizing, wrapping, and labeling freight according to daily shipping manifests.
  • Transporting loaded pallets safely across the distribution floor using manual pallet jacks.
  • Inspecting incoming shipments for damaged cartons or order discrepancies.
  • Keeping dock doors, staging areas, and loading bays clean and free of hazards.
  • Collaborating with warehouse leads to ensure trucks are loaded and cleared efficiently.
