Job description

Position Purpose:

Location Lube Managers and Assistant Managers are responsible for the day to day
operations of the Lube Centers at Jiffy Lube (JLl)/CMC and are directly responsible for
attaining sales/profit goals and maintaining company values, policies and culture.
Management is responsible for inventory management of lube supplies/tools,
administrative, operational, cleaning supplies, equipment functionality and perfonnance.
They are also responsible for maintaining the Jiffy Lube (JLI) Brand Image, Customer
Service, Quality Standards of their location by hiring, training, and coaching a quality
staff using their leadership and adherence to company principles, values and policies to
deliver high quality with attention to detail in an acceptable time frame. The Lube
Manager/ Assistant positions will respond to guest influx and move employees to
relieve congested areas as well as step in to assist in any position of the lube shop.
This position can receive bonus for profitability based on the company bonus
program. Bonus payout can be reduced for damages, poor performance or
attendance, receiving recent disciplinary notices and unsatisfactory mystery shop
scores or site training certification completion.

Lube Manager (Corporate Operations) and Lube Assistant (Lube Manager)

Major Tasks & Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide excellent quality and customer service at all times to ensure outstanding guest satisfaction.
  • Manage the overall site operations, production, labor and profitability.
  • Follow all Jiffy Lube Operations and Service Processes per Job Procedure Training
  • Job Description Lube Mangers
  • Follow Safety Standards per the operations and safety manuals at all times.
  • Ensure location compliance with company and government standards.
  • Follow all Safety and LOTO procedures per Operations/Safety Manual
  • Perform all roles and tasks associated with the Lube Operation
  • Manage staffing to adjust to daily business flow
  • Call employees to communicate shift/schedule changes on inclement
  • weather days
  • Respond to and resolve guest concerns and complaints expeditiously
  • Interview and hire associates, discipline and document as required
  • Complete administrative paperwork daily per training (HR, cash balancing,
  • email, etc.)
  • Comply with cash handling procedures and cash security
  • Train and certify, coach and mentor associates on the Jiffy Lube
  • processes and procedures
  • Coach associates and provide feedback to maintain and improve operations,
  • production, sales and quality
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly administrative tasks
  • Greet guests with a smile using their name when possible
  • Verify guest satisfaction using their name, lay out a blue towel and say
  • "Thank You, Please Come Again" as guest is presented their vehicle before
  • leaving the property.
  • Ensure high quality results on every guest vehicle
  • Manage and order lube supplies and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe shop at all times (upper bay, lower bay, lot, etc.)
  • Maintain all equipment and tools in good repair
  • Keep lube supplies stocked during the day
  • Respond to congested areas and occasionally assist in other carwash areas/departments to relieve congested areas due to business flow fluctuations.
  • Maintain overall site appearance/equipment (clean lot, windows, bathrooms, lobby, walls/floors/ minor painting, lawn/flower/landscape care, car wash equipment maintenance/repair, minor damage repair/replace damaged parts)
  • Assign employees to hold a sign on the carwash property near the street to attract attention of passing vehicles on the road way that advertise hours, services, special offers/programs, other business communication, etc.
  • Attend manager meetings/training when scheduled
  • Inform management of any issues that arise (safety, mechanical, damages, cleanliness, guest/customer service, etc.)
  • Any other CMC job tasks or duties assigned by Corporate Management or Location Management

Job Requirements

Job Requirements include but are not limited to:

  • 18 years of age minimum AND a Valid State Driver License (preferred) and/or a Camett's Management Company Driver License/Certification are required to be eligible to drive/move vehicles on carwash property. Non drivers will have a "red dot" on their name tag and are not authorized to drive/move a vehicle on the property at any time. No exceptions.
  • Follow/comply with Mr. Clean/CMC Handbook, Policies, Procedures, Code of Conduct and Appearance/Uniform Standards IA W Orientation and Training
  • Abide to and enforce the No Cell Phone in work areas policy
  • Follow all Operational Procedures/Chemical Handling per Safety and

  • Maintain good attendance/punctuality practices
  • Abide by the Honesty Policy
  • Work a 50 hour work week
  • Attend managers meeting when scheduled
  • Hold monthly safety/whole site training meetings
  • Write and post weekly work schedules no later than Sunday before work week begins
  • Monitor/manage labor and business flow daily
  • Perform complete opening and closing, quality control and guest send-off per Owner/manager training
  • Complete damage/incident reports and follow up daily till complete/resolved
  • Respond to, address and resolve guest complaints, issues, concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Process and send payroll per CMC training payroll ending Tuesday night
  • Complete and pass the Owner/Manager curriculum and be certified to perform all roles of the car wash/lube center
  • Complete JL Manager Curriculum in GROW and LMS to qualify for bonus payout
  • Deliver high level of quality assuring guest satisfaction
  • Energetic, sense of urgency, bounce in your step
  • Flexible work schedule ( days, nights, weekends, holidays)
  • Update personal contact information when it changes (cell#, address, etc.)
  • Strong Work Ethic

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, College a plus
  • 5 years management experience in hospitality or customer service retail environment
  • 2 years automotive management experience
  • 18 years of age minimum
  • Ability to work flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays)
  • Must pass pre-employment background check
