Job Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for all aspects of the assigned account(s) and will act as an advocate for the customers supply chain in the marketplace on behalf of M2 Logistics. Through growing and managing relationships, the Account Manager will seek and discover opportunities while developing solutions that meet and/or exceed M2 Logistics growth expectations with existing customers; also seeking to add new customers to your book of business through various sales activities.

M2 has remained resolute in being large enough to leverage a complete suite of logistics services yet structuring the execution teams to remain small enough to offer a personal touch.
The Position:
  • Serve as liaison between M2 Logistics and their customers to address customer needs and concerns as quickly and efficiently as possible to develop and maintain strong relationships

  • Proactively engages with customers to effectively monitor their adoption, engagement, and usage of M2's strategic partnership - including identifying growth opportunities and at-risk situations

  • Work with Sales Department to conduct quarterly account reviews to develop a deep understanding of the client's needs and pain points with thoughtful, smart, and creative dialogue

  • Account Managers will answer client queries and identify new business opportunities amongst existing customers

  • Maintain a "Funnel of Opportunities" within existing customers supply chain to pursue/sell and close new business

  • Seek new customers through "Daisy-Chaining" to effectively grow, maintain, and develop entrance strategies qualifying prospects transportation spend to generate new business partners

  • Develop a Strategic Account Plan and review/update monthly, including ongoing forecasting

  • Manages revenue/gross margin performance against established customer renewal and customer growth metrics, inclusive of accurate forecasting

  • Actively collaborating to understand customer's key financial metrics/goals to effectively communicate the customer's potential for future growth with M2 Logistics

  • Listen closely, and translate customers' needs to relevant parties within M2 Logistics

  • Design solutions and help our customers solve their supply chain challenges

  • Cross-functionally work effectively within a small group (POD) collaborating to achieve team goals

  • Resolves business escalation issues as they relate to ongoing customer retention

  • Champion the customers supply chain, consistently refining M2's value proposition to the client within the marketplace to help them improve their processes

  • Establish and nurture strong professional relationships with prospective clients using various prospecting techniques

  • Seek knowledge and develop core competency around M2 Logistics various verticals to include Truckload (Van, Reefer, Intermodal, Flat Bed, HHOD) and LTL transportation services to effectively service all customers' needs
