Now Hiring: CSST / Field CAC

Southern California (Los Angeles / Orange County)

Ambient Environmental, Inc. is expanding our Southern California operations and is looking for motivated environmental professionals to join our growing team. We are currently hiring both California Certified Site Surveillance Technicians (CSSTs) and California Certified Asbestos Consultants (CACs).

Compensation

$75,000 to $100,000 annually

Compensation is based on your certifications, technical abilities, experience, and the level of responsibility you are able to take on.

Rather than requiring a specific number of years of experience, we believe in rewarding employees who continue to expand their knowledge, earn additional certifications, and grow within the company.

Required Certification

• California Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) or California Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC)

Preferred Certifications

• California Department of Public Health Lead Sampling Technician (LST)

• NIOSH 582

• Additional environmental or industrial hygiene certifications are welcomed (CMI/ASP/CSP/Etc)

CSST Responsibilities

• Conduct asbestos surveys

• Conduct lead-based paint surveys

• Perform asbestos and lead abatement oversight

• Conduct air monitoring and final clearance sampling

• Perform indoor air quality (IAQ) investigations and sampling

• Perform mold investigations and sampling

• Collect bulk, air, dust wipe, and other environmental samples

• Prepare field notes, sample documentation, and chain of custody forms

• Communicate with clients, contractors, and project managers

• Travel throughout Southern California to support field projects

Additional Field CAC Responsibilities

• Perform some technical report review and QA/QC

• Perform demolition and renovation surveys

• Lead project kickoff meetings

• Provide technical consultation to clients and assist with project planning and coordination

• Conduct field support visits and project drop-ins on large projects

• Oversee technically complex abatement projects

• Assist with some admin paperwork

What We're Looking For

• Self-motivated professionals who take initiative

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Professionalism when working with clients and contractors

• Willingness to continue learning and earning additional certifications

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment

Career Growth

We are looking for people who want to build long-term careers in environmental consulting.

You do not need to have every certification on day one. We value employees who are motivated to learn, expand their technical knowledge, and continue earning additional certifications. As you develop professionally and take on greater responsibility, your opportunities for advancement and compensation will grow alongside you.

Whether that means earning your Lead Sampling Technician certification, obtaining NIOSH 582, becoming a California Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC), or pursuing another certification that benefits both you and the company, we are committed to investing in employees who invest in themselves.

As Ambient continues to grow throughout Southern California, we are also building our future technical and middle management team. Employees who demonstrate technical ability, professionalism, leadership, and initiative will have opportunities to help manage projects, work directly with clients, mentor staff, and take ownership of key accounts as the company continues to expand.

Benefits

• Medical, dental, and vision insurance

• Company phone

• Vehicle stipend

• Fuel allowance

• Paid Time Off (PTO)

Join Our Team

If you're looking for a company where your career can continue to evolve, your hard work is recognized, and there is a clear path toward increased technical responsibility and leadership, we'd love to hear from you.
