We are looking for:
Advanced Systems Group LLC. is seeking an experienced Live Support Technician (LST). The LST is a technically proficient and detail-oriented team member responsible for supporting the live monitoring and observability facility in Los Gatos, CA. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability, readiness, and performance of the technical systems within the facility, set up to monitor and support simultaneous live events. The LST works closely with internal engineering teams and external partners to maintain seamless operations in a fast-paced live environment.
This position is part of our Flex Workforce. As a Flex team member, you'll work on a project-to-project basis, supporting a variety of leading media and technology clients. Flex roles are ongoing and dynamic-work may vary in cadence, length, and scope depending on client needs. This setup offers flexibility, exposure to top-tier companies, and the chance to grow your skills across multiple exciting assignments.
Estimated schedule: 3-6 Days Per Month on average, will scale up to more shifts around programming schedules. (Specific schedules will vary by project and client engagement.)
Responsibilities
Live Facility Support
  • Provide hands-on technical support for live broadcasts operating out of the Live Command Center (LCC).
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot internal systems including intercoms, encoders/decoders, monitors, room controls and associated infrastructure.
  • Serve as a first-line responder to technical issues during live events, escalating as necessary to engineering teams.
  • Perform routine weekly inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and minimize disruptions.
  • Support the setup, execution, and breakdown of live shows, including simultaneous broadcasts with unique technical requirements.

Documentation & Workflow Management
  • Create, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical drawings, and system documentation for LCC broadcast systems.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, current, and easily accessible to operational and engineering teams.
  • Prepare and verify required configurations in advance of live events, including intercom setups, monitor routing, and signal paths.
  • Assist in documenting issues, resolutions, and system changes to support continuous improvement.

Coordination & Communication
  • Work closely with LCC Ops Leads, and other operations partners to coordinate daily signal paths, routing, and system readiness.
  • Act as a liaison between operations, engineering, and production teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Provide concise and professional communication during live operations, including high-pressure situations.
  • Participate in shift handoffs and ensure continuity by clearly documenting system status and outstanding issues.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in broadcast operations, live production support, or a broadcast engineering environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of live broadcast signal flow and technical infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with intercom systems, encoders/decoders, monitoring systems, and related broadcast equipment.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively in live environments.
  • Strong documentation skills with experience creating SOPs and technical diagrams.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by live show schedules.
