Office Assistant - LRC

The Legal Resource Center (LRC) provides educational programs on legal topics of interest to the San Francisco State University community. The LRC also provides local Bay-area legal referrals to assist San Francisco State community members with law-related questions or concerns. The LRC does not offer legal advice or legal representation. Important Notice: The AS Legal Resource Center (LRC) does not provide legal advice and does not establish or create a client-attorney relationship or any representation with any student(s) seeking legal resources.

Job Description:

  • Assists the LRC Director, and Assistant Director with administrative and organizing tasks, such as, organizing office library, creating sign-up sheets, and creating content for LRC's social media weekly posts.
  • Schedules and leads tabling outreach events with Interns during Fall/Spring.
  • Works with the LRC Director to help create an agenda for the staff meetings, takes meeting notes, provides updates on important deadlines and manages the LRC monthly calendar.
  • Works with the Director and Assistant Director to make the room reservations for workshops and outreach events via the Scheduling team.
  • Helps provide support with updating the LRC Resource Excel Sheet.
  • Leads the digitizing of the LRC Textbooks to record the titles and promotes the LRC library to via social media.
  • Attends workshops and outreach events and provides information to students who are interested in LRC.
  • Manages the student engagement and attendance for LRC Fall and Spring events
  • Other duties as assigned by the LRC supervisors

Qualifications:

  • Must be a student at San Francisco State University enrolled in least 6 units for undergraduates or 4 units for graduates
  • Preferred one year of customer service experience
  • Preferred to be interested in the legal profession
