Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Summer Camp
Location:
Fishkill, NY
Employment Type:

$35.00 per hour
Assignment Dates:
Immediate Start – August 15
Schedule:
3 days per week
Shifts between Monday–Sunday
Typical hours: 7:30 AM – 9:00 PM
Occasional extended hours (up to 10:00 PM) may be required
This role is open exclusively to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).
Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support health services at a summer camp in Fishkill, NY. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safety and well-being of campers and staff through daily care, medication administration, and emergency response.
This is a great opportunity for LPNs looking for hands-on, seasonal work in a dynamic outdoor setting, with consistent hours and weekly pay.
LPN Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and provide medical care to campers and staff
  • Conduct health assessments and respond to injuries or illnesses
  • Perform arrival health screenings for campers and staff
  • Maintain accurate medical records (paper and electronic systems)
  • Communicate with parents and internal teams regarding health concerns
  • Follow medical directives and report serious concerns to leadership
  • Ensure sanitary conditions across camp facilities
  • Participate in staff training, orientation, and daily camp operations
  • Remain available for on-call coverage during assigned camp hours
  • Follow all safety and emergency procedures

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
  • Minimum 1+ year of nursing experience
  • Comfortable working in a camp or outdoor environment
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organization skills
  • Ability to respond to emergencies independently
  • All required medical clearances, and documentation must be up to date
  • Experience in camp, school, or pediatric settings preferred
