Blaze Health is actively seeking a dedicated and culturally competent Mental Health Therapist, licensed as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW, to join our innovative team. This full-time role can be performed in a flexible remote setting, allowing you to provide high-quality mental health services through our telehealth platform. The position offers a remote work environment, enabling flexibility in your daily schedule while ensuring that quality care is delivered to our clients. Our work schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the possibility of some variability to meet the diverse needs of our patients. As a member of a dynamic team, you will collaborate through virtual meetings, case conferences, and cultural competency training sessions aimed at continuously improving our service delivery.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that are sensitive to cultural and societal influences faced by each patient, leading to tailored and effective treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, adjusting techniques to suit individual needs, particularly focusing on the personal and cultural contexts of each client.
• Provide a range of therapy sessions, including individual, family, and group therapy, creating a safe space for clients to explore their mental health concerns and develop strategies for resilience.
• Engage in collaborative care by working closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated treatment and ongoing support.
• Respond effectively to crisis situations, providing immediate support and intervention when urgent mental health needs arise.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and community resources to enhance their understanding and involvement in their own care.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of treatment sessions and patient interactions that adhere to legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring the highest level of compliance.
• Participate in continuous professional development and stay informed about emerging trends and research in the mental health field to enhance practice and patient outcomes.

This role is designed to serve a diverse client base, including individuals facing various mental health disorders, trauma, and sociocultural challenges. • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
• Proven knowledge of mental health disorders, culturally appropriate treatment methodologies, and a strong commitment to inclusivity in therapy.
• Experience providing individual and group therapy, showcasing an ability to employ culturally responsive approaches to therapy.
• Strong crisis intervention skills that demonstrate resilience and calmness in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effectively building rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
• Competency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications for documentation and care coordination.
• A firm commitment to ethical guidelines, professional boundaries, and the confidentiality of client information.
• A collaborative mindset that contributes positively to a multidisciplinary team approach.

• At least two years of clinical experience working in mental health settings, with a specific focus on culturally diverse populations.
• Experience with telehealth platforms and remote therapy practices.
• Active engagement in ongoing training or certification in culturally competent therapy practices.
