You will have access to a robust telehealth platform, allowing you to engage with clients effectively and maintain comprehensive documentation of their progress. Our support team is available to assist with scheduling, administrative tasks, and billing, ensuring you can dedicate your energy to clinical interactions.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Calhoun Families First Center, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining a manageable caseload of clients, establishing rapport, and fostering positive therapeutic relationships while adhering to professional ethical standards.
• Conducting regular sessions to monitor client progress, stability, and readiness for discharge, while adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Developing, implementing, and continuously reviewing person-centered treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Performing detailed intake assessments to understand clients' needs and create effective treatment strategies.
• Providing individual therapy sessions weekly, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy.
• Participating in regular individual supervision sessions to enhance clinical skills and obtain feedback on your practice.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
• Documenting all client interactions accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
• Promoting a growth mindset in your professional practice, continually seeking to expand your knowledge and adapt to evolving clinical practices.

In this position, you will primarily focus on youth clients, helping them navigate challenges related to mental health, trauma, and behavioral issues. You will play a crucial role in guiding these clients toward improved emotional regulation, coping strategies, and personal development. Your client base may include individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, substance use issues, and behavioral disorders, providing you with a diverse and fulfilling caseload.

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.
• Current valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
• Demonstrated ability to meet credentialing requirements for clinical settings.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to ethical practice in mental health care.
• Basic computer proficiency, including experience with documentation software.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A minimum of one year of experience working with youth in a mental health capacity.
• Familiarity with assessment and diagnosis of psychiatric disorders, alongside experience in conducting individual and group therapy.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and motivate clients toward positive change.
