Job description

Position Overview

Frontier Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team. This full-time position offers the flexibility of working remotely while making a significant impact on the mental health and emotional well-being of our clients. As an LPC at Frontier Counseling Services, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality therapeutic services and support to individuals and families.

About the Organization

Frontier Counseling Services is committed to providing accessible and effective mental health care to underserved populations. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, our organization prides itself on its holistic approach, focusing on personal development and emotional growth. Our team of caring professionals utilizes evidence-based practices to support clients facing various mental health challenges in a compassionate and understanding environment.

Work Environment

This role is predominantly remote, facilitating a work-life balance that promotes both professional development and personal well-being. You will engage with clients through telehealth platforms, ensuring that therapy sessions are conducted in a confidential and safe online environment. Our team uses advanced electronic medical record (EMR) software to streamline workflows, allowing you to focus more on client care rather than administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to create individualized therapy plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Provide a variety of therapeutic interventions—including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short-term therapy—for clients of diverse backgrounds.
  • Document and maintain accurate clinical records according to ethical standards and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive mental health care, participating in case reviews and consultations.
  • Stay informed on current mental health research and best practices by attending professional workshops and continuing education opportunities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The LPC will primarily work with individuals and families with limited access to quality mental health services, addressing a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. Our clientele may include vulnerable populations who require a deeper level of understanding and tailored care. You will have the unique opportunity to foster personal growth and recovery in clients, playing a critical role in their healing journey.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
  • An active and unrestricted license to practice as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • A solid understanding of legal and ethical counseling standards and practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect and establish rapport with a diverse clientele.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance abuse counseling, or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working within telehealth systems and utilizing EMR software effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to function collaboratively as part of a healthcare team while contributing positively to client outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this LPC position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, based on your experience and client caseload. Additionally, Frontier Counseling Services offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a malpractice insurance plan, and extensive client referral networks to enhance your practice. We also provide support for billing and documentation tasks, allowing you to focus more on therapy and less on paperwork.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Frontier Counseling Services, we are committed to fostering a culture of professional growth. We encourage our counselors to pursue additional certifications and specializations that align with their career aspirations. Our supportive team environment and access to ample professional development resources ensure that you will continually enhance your skills and advance in your career.

Why Join Our Team

By becoming a part of Frontier Counseling Services, you will be joining a collaborative and passionate team of mental health professionals dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our clients. We value and support the well-being of our staff, providing a flexible and rewarding work environment where your contributions are recognized and appreciated. Take this opportunity to advance your counseling career while impacting the mental health of the communities we serve.

Application Information

If you are ready to take the next step in your counseling career and make a meaningful impact on the lives of others, we invite you to apply to Frontier Counseling Services. Please submit your resume and a cover letter highlighting your relevant experience and passion for mental health care.
