Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Calhoun Families First Center, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining a manageable caseload of clients, establishing rapport, and fostering positive therapeutic relationships while adhering to professional ethical standards.
  • Conducting regular sessions to monitor client progress, stability, and readiness for discharge, while adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Developing, implementing, and continuously reviewing person-centered treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
  • Performing detailed intake assessments to understand clients' needs and create effective treatment strategies.
  • Providing individual therapy sessions weekly, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Current valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
