Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments and devise individualized therapy plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.
  • Utilize various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Facilitate therapeutic sessions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, focusing on mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.
  • Maintain meticulous clinical records in accordance with legal, ethical, and confidentiality guidelines, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and educational sessions to stay informed about the latest advancements and best practices in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Frontier Counseling Services, you will work with a diverse client base, including individuals from varying socio-economic backgrounds who often have limited access to mental health services. Your expertise and compassionate approach will help clients navigate through their mental health challenges and embark on a path toward healing and resilience.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • An active and unrestricted professional counseling license (LPC) in the state of Georgia is essential.
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably within a clinical setting, is mandatory.
  • A comprehensive understanding of legal and ethical standards governing counseling practices.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in providing teletherapy or remote counseling services is a plus, particularly in adapting therapeutic approaches to the virtual environment.
