Primary Therapist – Residential Eating Disorder Treatment Program

About Southern Live Oak Wellness (SLOW)
Southern Live Oak Wellness (SLOW), LLC is an evidence-based, client-centered behavioral health organization offering PHP, Day and Evening IOP, Residential Treatment, and specialized inpatient services. We provide care across multiple levels of need in a warm, welcoming environment that meets clients where they are and empowers them to “be the great person they were always meant to be.”

As part of our continued growth and commitment to expanding access to specialized care, SLOW is opening S.L.O.W. Academy, an 8-bed inpatient treatment center dedicated to individuals struggling with eating disorders. This program will provide highly structured, multidisciplinary care, supporting both medical stabilization and long-term recovery.

Position Overview

The Primary Therapist will provide individual, group, and family therapy within a residential treatment setting for adolescents with eating disorders. This role works closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes medical providers, dietitians, and behavioral health professionals to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based treatment.

Salary Range
  • Master’s Level (License Eligible): $55,000 annually

  • Associate-Level Licensure (APC, LMSW, etc.): $60,000 annually

  • Fully Licensed (LPC, LCSW): $65,000 – $70,000 annually (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to assigned clients

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

  • Facilitate therapeutic groups focused on eating disorder recovery and mental health

  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings with medical, nutrition, and behavioral health staff

  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards

  • Support and facilitate discharge planning and coordinate care with outside providers

  • Maintain adherence to clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field

  • License-eligible candidates must provide proof of application for licensure

  • Associate-level licensure (APC, LMSW) or full licensure (LPC, LCSW) preferred

  • Strong clinical, organizational, and documentation skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team

Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in residential or higher levels of care

  • Experience treating eating disorders

  • Training in evidence-based treatment approaches such as:

    • CBT-E (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders)

    • DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)

    • ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)

  • Experience treating co-occurring conditions, including trauma, anxiety, addiction, and mood disorders
