Job description

Summary Statement

The incumbent is responsible for outside sales and\r\nservice, developing and providing guidance, recruiting, training, merchandising\r\nand promotions with retail outlets. Candidate will be placing and removing\r\nitems at retail locations to include materials up to 30 pounds as well as POS\r\nmaterials. The selected candidate should be flexible to work in any area of the\r\nstate and may be required to work evenings, weekends, and special events\r\nthroughout the state. The candidate should be comfortable with cash handling,\r\ncustomer interaction and working mostly unsupervised. Additionally, experience\r\nwith driving a pickup truck pulling a trailer (Training Provided) and operating\r\na forklift (Training Provided) would be beneficial. This position is eligible\r\nfor overtime with approval.\r\n

Essential Functions

Monitors retailer sales activities.\r\n Provides training to retailers in sales and marketing techniques, operating procedures, rules and regulations for selling lottery games.\r\n Monitors retailer compliance with lottery rules and regulations.\r\n Arranges, sets-up and monitors retailer promotions.\r\n Provides resolution of retailer and player complaints.\r\n Coordinates field sales and marketing support activities performed by vendor staff.\r\n Identifies potential new retail locations. Coordinates new retailer recruitment efforts by vendor staff.\r\n Monitors vendor staff performance.\r\n Prepares a variety of reports.\r\n\r\n

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Lottery Field Representative \r\nApplicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:\r\n\r\n Six months experience in public relations, media relations or communications such asestablishing and promoting a positive image with the public and informing or influencing specific audiences using internal and external communications such as public forums, journalism, writing, marketing, advertising, promotions,or special events. \r\n Six months experience in territory account management which includes developing and managing sales routes and traveling within an assigned geographic location visiting numerous retailer accounts. \r\n Six months experience in sales and marketing to retail outlets. \r\n Six months experience in interpreting laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures. \r\n Knowledge of presenting training courses using a variety of training methods such as lecture, structured exercises, role play or group discussion as well as the use of training materials such as overheads, PowerPoint, handouts or videos. \r\n Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).\r\n\r\n
