Job Summary

With general guidance, the Lot Supervisor for the swing shift is a hands-on operational leader responsible for coordinating daily lot activities in a fast-paced, 24/7 rental car environment. This role ensures vehicle flow, staffing coordination, safety compliance, and service readiness meet company standards.

Acting as the on-shift point of accountability, the Lot Supervisor provides direction to lot staff, resolves operational issues in real time, and supports customer service execution by maintaining vehicle availability, cleanliness, and staging efficiency. Success in this role requires strong situational awareness, decisive problem-solving, and the ability to lead by example in a high-volume environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead and coordinate daily lot operations, including vehicle staging, movement, cleaning readiness, and overall fleet flow.
  • Provide real-time direction and support to lot staff, drivers, and detailers to ensure productivity and service standards are met. Delegate and assign tasks to the team as needed.
  • Serve as the on-shift escalation point for operational issues, delays, or safety concerns.
  • Monitor workflow and adjust staffing priorities to meet fluctuating business demands (arrivals, returns, peak hours).
  • Ensure strong and consistent communications using radio and other devices as needed, with attention to detail and urgency.

Customer Service & Business Support

  • Support front-line operations by ensuring vehicles are available, properly staged, and ready for customer use.
  • Partner with customer service and counter teams to align vehicle supply with demand.
  • Assist in resolving customer-related vehicle concerns as needed.
  • Ensure Electric Vehicles are charged and washed each shift.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce company safety policies, vehicle handling procedures, and OSHA-related standards.
  • Ensure safe movement of vehicles and proper use of equipment across the lot.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, Nevada regulations, and industry standards.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and operational documentation (vehicle status, damages, movement tracking, etc.).
  • Identify and communicate operational gaps, inefficiencies, or risks to management.
  • Support audits, inspections, and internal process reviews.

Team & Culture

  • Model professionalism, accountability, and a strong customer-first mindset.
  • Support training and onboarding of new team members.
  • Reinforce attendance, performance expectations, and workplace standards on shift.

Other Duties

  • Maintain adherence to company service protocols, confidentiality guidelines, and quality expectations.
  • Participate in ongoing training, performance reviews, and team meetings.
  • Maintains compliance with company policies and procedures, local regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3โ€“5 years of experience in rental car operations, fleet operations, logistics, or high-volume service environments required.
  • Prior lead, shift lead, or supervisory experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and customer-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make real-time operational decisions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills across multiple teams.
  • Familiarity with operating hand-held electronic devices as a communication tool.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation to work location and reliable attendance based on work demands.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a 24/7 operation or airport-based rental environment.
  • Familiarity with fleet management systems or vehicle tracking tools.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, and movement across a large outdoor lot with a sense of urgency as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (lot equipment, tools, etc.) as needed.
  • Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including varying heat, cold, and weather.
  • Frequent entry/exit of vehicles and operation of multiple vehicle types involving stepping, climbing, stooping.
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment.

Work Schedule

ยท Able to work full-time at least 40 hours per week during the swing shift, 2:00pm โ€“ 10:30pm, on-site at our work location near the Airport Car Rental Center in Las Vegas, NV. Schedule may vary based on business demands.

Compensation

Base hourly rate of $16.00 - $18.00 dollars
