Starting Salary Range: $65k-$70k Based on Experience
Shift Hours: Night Time Rotating 12 hour shifts (6pm-6am) that requires every other weekend as mandatory

NOTS Logistics is are currently looking for Operations Supervisor to join our operations team. Our Customer is an established manufacturer of automotive and rubber product applications in the North Georgia region. The individual in this role is responsible for leading an Operations Support Team to effectively meet Customer demands within a manufacturing environment. Additional responsibilities include facilitating and directing the continuous improvement of NOTS Logistics operational performance as it relates to quality, productivity, and on-time delivery of product. This position reports to the Assistant General Manager. Job responsibilities for the Operations Supervisor position include:

  • The Operations Supervisor coaches, trains, supports, and develops a team of flexible, multi-skilled employees in accordance with NOTS Logistics values, employee covenant, and strategic direction.
  • Communicate with and listen to employees daily regarding work center/team performance, strategic initiatives, policy changes, safety, quality, customer service, and cost/productivity performance.
  • Support and implement new, customer-focused processes in accordance with lean principles and practices. Actively provide change leadership as required.
  • Develop a high-performance work team with high levels of employee engagement morale, satisfaction, and performance. Provide coaching and performance communication to support development.
  • Promote safety and ensure a safe work environment and safe employee work habits.
  • Support and foster an environment of continuous improvement by encouraging employees to challenge existing processes and implement solutions that enhance the overall effectiveness of the operation.
  • Communicate with your immediate manager, other supervisors, and appropriate personnel regarding facility, equipment, safety, environmental, work center schedules, company policies and practices, performance improvement plans, etc.
  • Support employees in understanding company policies and practices.
  • Create and maintain a respectful work environment by listening, seeking facts to support decisions, managing one’s own reactions, and addressing unacceptable behavior.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

  • 4-year degree or equivalent combination of education, work, and military experience
  • 2-4 years of supervisory or work center lead experience
  • Successful previous experience supervising hourly employees engaged in production, maintenance, and support of manufacturing operations
  • Previous experience in a logistics (warehouse & transportation) operation with demonstrated ability to acquire and apply continuous improvement, lean and manufacturing system principles
  • Must have a continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience driving a team to meet/exceed goals
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Experience providing coaching, counseling, and feedback to employees
