Job description

Position Title: LOGISTICS SUPERVISOR (Day/Night)
Location: FIELD OFFICE
FLSA Class: EXEMPT
Responsible to: LOGISTICS MANAGER

Position Summary: The purpose of this job is to supervisor and guide the work of the Logistics Specialist team with fuel order purchase and delivery to company locations ensuring performance meets the key performance metrics (KPIs).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, lead, and set priorities for Logistics Specialist team
  • Select, coach, train, and develop direct reports, to include reviewing job performance and conducting performance reviews
  • Analyze dispatch plans, monitor onsite volumes, and provide coaching feedback to the Logistics Specialist team according to defined KPIs
  • Responsible for meeting Transportation and Logistics department profitability parameters, including efficient truck utilization, maximization of truck revenue, and effective inventory management
  • Work with Supply and Distribution department to identify market opportunities, execute plans with Logistics Coordinators and Specialists, and capture results for reporting purposes
  • Model behaviors that support the companyโ€™s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
  • Ensure all activities are following rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Complete other duties as assigned


Other Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent certification required
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or engineering preferred.
  • Minimum two yearsโ€™ experience in logistics operations (e.g., dispatch, routing, load planning, optimization), preferably in truckload, LTL, or tanker required.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and make decisions that have a significant financial impact within a limited window of time.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to analyze multiple data sources simultaneously.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects successfully.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective problem solving and situational analysis skills.
  • Strong organization and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to prioritize.
