Reverse Logistics Specialist - Hillsboro, OR (Contract)
About the Role:
Join our Materials and Structural Analysis business as a Reverse Logistics Specialist and be part of a cutting-edge team driving innovation in electron microscopy. You'll directly contribute to our EM Certified team's mission by coordinating the trade-in, refurbishment, and resale of world-class scientific instruments. Collaborate cross-functionally, own logistics processes, and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic, tech-forward environment. This position offers hands-on experience in supply chain operations with exposure to advanced logistics technology and career advancement opportunities within a global leader.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver daily logistics support for the Certified team, including de-installations, shipments, and parts orders
• Lead and implement improvement initiatives to optimize Certified business processes
• Plan, coordinate, and track inbound and outbound shipments for timely, cost-effective delivery
• Schedule transportation, liaise with carriers and freight providers, and proactively resolve delivery issues
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records in ERP and logistics systems
• Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, manufacturing, sales, and customer service teams to support business goals
• Prepare shipping documentation, bills of lading, customs paperwork, and ensure regulatory compliance
• Analyze logistics metrics to identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, damaged goods, and customer complaints
• Generate and present reports on delivery performance, freight costs, and inventory accuracy
Required Skills and Experience:
• 2-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration
• Proficiency with logistics software, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), and TMS
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Office Suite skills
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at multi-tasking in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in warehouse, manufacturing, or office environments
Preferred Skills:
• APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification
