Job description

Company Description

Frost Brook Transportation, Inc. is a rapidly growing transportation and logistics company based in Southwest Florida. We build customized logistics solutions around our clients' needs, with a primary focus on time-sensitive freight, including perishable and temperature-controlled products. Our experienced team and proven processes oversee every shipment from origin to final destination. Learn more at www.frostbrook.com.

Role Description

This is a 1099 independent contractor role. It is commission-only. There is no base salary and no guaranteed income. You earn on the freight you move, paid via direct deposit on invoiced shipments.

As a Freight Sales Agent, you prospect and win your own customers, source carriers, and manage your shipments from booking to delivery using our TMS and back-office support. You run your book like your own business, with our authority, carrier pool, credit, and operations behind you.

Qualifications

  • Active or prior book of shipper relationships (strongly preferred)
  • Freight brokerage or logistics sales experience
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Self-directed and able to work without daily supervision
  • Comfortable with freight management systems and software
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Why Run Your Book with Frost Brook

  • Asset-Based Backing: Representing an asset-based carrier opens doors that stay closed for non-asset brokers.
  • Uncapped Commissions: Competitive splits paid by direct deposit on invoiced shipments.
  • Operations Support: Dedicated agent and operations teams handle the back office so you can sell.
  • Low Agent Saturation: Fewer agents competing internally means more room to grow.
  • Fast Setup: Immediate access to the Frost Brook carrier pool and asset availability.
  • No Overhead Risk: We carry the authority, insurance, credit, and bad-debt risk. You don't.
  • Training and Support: Onboarding and ongoing support to help you scale your book effectively.

Why This Career

  • Autonomy: Manage your own time and revenue without micromanagement.
  • No Mandatory Reporting: No obligatory meetings, commuting, or travel.
  • Ownership: Your book is yours. No non-compete.
  • Work from Anywhere: Home or wherever you choose.
  • Back-Office Support 24/7/365: Collaborate with our experts to grow your book.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and win new customers
  • Source carriers for your customers' freight
  • Book shipments in our TMS, track deliveries, and secure PODs
  • Maintain strong customer relationships
  • Collect commissions
