Overnight Shift - three 12-hour shifts

Friday - 6:00pm - 6:00am EST

Saturday - 6:00 pm - 6:00am EST

Sunday - 6:00 pm - 6:00am EST


Under minimal guidance from the Director, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible cradle to grave work ideology, shipment scheduling, dispatching, planning, tracking, and communication.


Responsibilities:

  • Answering phones and e-mails professionally and expediently.
  • Adequately assess Sales rep/ project manager needs and determine the reason for      contact
  • During order input, adequately gather all relevant information
  • Effectively route packages based on customer specifications
  • Track and monitor all shipments with process updates at each step including      possible setbacks such as delays, cancellations, field damage, etc.
  • Notify responsible parties for special services requests
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements to augment the level of quality of      service
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Work with external and internal clients to arrange, transport, and deliver      their consignments.
  • Utilize our vendors and partners to provide timely, professional, and      cost-effective solutions.
  • Utilize our TMS effectively and diligently.
  • Use your sense of urgency to identify, communicate, and solve problems.
  • Communicate effectively with Sales reps/project managers, coworkers, and management.
  • Have a familiarity with governmental compliance agencies such as the TSA and DOT.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, or related field preferred
  • Transportation experience or internship is ideal
  • International airfreight experience required
  • Aviation experience required
  • Natural ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work setting
  • Impeccable customer service skills; ability to build trust and maintain relationships      within the business
  • Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively in a diverse,      multicultural environment
  • Excels in meeting deadlines and demonstrates superior time management skills
  • Must possess strong attention to detail
  • Highly motivated team player with an outgoing and positive work attitude
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products and daily PC use

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able sit, walk and stand on a continuous basis, as well as be able to communicate effectively through written and verbal expression using either a PC/keyboard or a telephone. 
  • Must be able to effectively deal with moderate levels of stress
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, squat and stoop as needed
