University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.
Position Summary
Temporary, Staff, Part Time, Non-Benefited position through 12/23/2026 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).
Salary: $35.00-$40.00 per hour.

Work Schedule
19 hours per week. Typically, Monday through Friday within the range of 8AM to 5PM. Some nights and weekends may be required.

Typical Activities
ERC Program Coordinator will Manage and oversee many aspects of assigned Affiliate group programs, acting as the primary or secondary group contact from start to finish for each program, by planning, executing, and promoting training events and special initiatives that support local entrepreneurs.
Essential Duties:
  • Point of contact for partners of our entrepreneur community.
  • Will work with the team to coordinate training schedules, materials, equipment, travel, and logistics to deliver the training on-site or virtually.
  • Plan and confirm all trainings with partner organizations and/or IECE staff including but not limited to space, equipment, materials as well as attendance of participants.
  • Develop a recruitment and outreach plan for the recruitment of Affiliates and training participants in collaboration with other IECE departments as needed. Work with to develop promotional materials and distribute on our social media and email platforms.
  • Manage and Update meeting room reservation calendars and prepare meeting rooms for meetings.
  • Ensures the smooth and effective planning and functioning of training events.
  • Create event flyers, send out weekly online communications, flyer posting and managing monthly newsletters and events.
  • Provide a monthly activity log to the Center Director.
  • Attend Daily/Weekly meetings as needed.
  • Review all NEW Affiliate applications submitted.
  • Be a helpful source of communication and relaying key notes from meetings, phone calls, in person and sharing information with team.
  • Answer all incoming calls for ERC Affiliate services and assist clients.
  • Communicate any changes last-minute changes in events to appropriate departments.
  • Understand and respond to all clients' needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • To use good time management skills in prioritizing work and scheduling workshops and events.
  • To embody the IECE Core Values.
  • To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.
  • Some regional travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience:
    • 3 years of experience working in a Customer Service, Event planning or
      Hospitality role.
  • Other:
    • Must have a valid CA Driver's License.
    • Must be able to proficiently use Canva for graphic design for community event flyers.
    • Must be able to post to and manage social media Instagram page all social platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn.
    • Exceptional customer service skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate.
    • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
    • Must be flexible with work schedule for evening and weekend hours as needed.
    • Demonstrate problem solving abilities and the ability to listen, understand, and follow directions and training for applicable job-related tasks.
    • Must be proficient in the following programs: Canva, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Excel.
    • Exhibit professionalism, professional attire, and demeanor at all times.
    • Demonstrate organizational skills and ability to independently prioritize daily workload.
    • Must work effectively with colleagues and clients.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
    • Knowledge of applicable safety practices.
