Employing transportation demand management (TDM), business, and organizational development principles to direct and implement successful projects, programs, and initiatives in support of the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) regional TDM program.
Shaping and implementing programs focused on shifting travel behaviors of a diverse group of commuters and communities, with particular focus on construction-related impacts and non-drive alone commutes. This may include supporting employers and their workforce in warehousing, logistics, hospitality, retail, technology, and more.
Effectively leading regional coordination meetings through presentations, meeting notes and summaries, and consistent follow up; developing action items and updating work plans.
Directing and participating in employer-facing outreach with the support and collaboration of stakeholders and other team members.
Leading, planning, and assisting outreach efforts such as presentations to large groups, transportation fairs, kiosks/expos, tabling, lunch and learns, and other in-person engagement tactics.ย 
Supporting data collection tasks required to inform program measurement and evaluation, with a strong data-led approach to decision-making.ย 
Managing partners, stakeholders, and/or sub-consultants through use of high level project management methods and responsible leadership of program tasks and deliverables.
Supporting public involvement and engagement strategies to effectively reach broad audiences. This may include navigating crucial conversations regarding under-resourced communities, vulnerable populations, and underrepresented demographics.
Establishing and nurturing long-term relationships with clients, including understanding needs, expectations, and challenges and ensuring clients feel valued, understood, and supported.ย 
Overseeing implementation of the CAMPO SchoolPool program, including coordination with schools and partners, management of program data and processes, development of outreach materials, and tracking of timelines and milestones to support successful program launch and delivery.
Building and maintaining relationships with transportation and community leaders across the Austin metro region (and possibly across north and central Texas), including opportunities to collaborate on impactful transportation projects.
Helping advance Alta's mission in Texas through identifying and leading business development opportunities
Actively engaging in continuous learning and integrating this knowledge into projects, including an understanding of emerging tools and techniques in the marketing field as they apply to our work. This involves attending trainings, workshops, and regional conferences as well as self-guided learning.ย 
Required

This position requires a combination of skills, experience and education including, but not limited to

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (an advanced degree is a bonus) ย 
Eight or more years of full-time professional experience, including five or more years of experience directly in TDM, city planning, public engagement, or transportation advocacy.
Ability to pass a Homeland Security background check
Experience working for a consulting firm, improvement district, or in a similar multi-client environment is preferred.
o Project management software (e.g., Asana, Wrike, Basecamp, etc.).ย 
o Budget management tools (e.g. Deltek)
o Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).ย 
o General understanding of other platforms that directly aid in program delivery.
o Relevant transportation and community data tools and sources.ย 
Preferred
There are a number of additional skills, experience, and education that would be beneficial to this position including, but not limited to:
Advanced degree in a relevant field.ย 
Knowledgeable (or highly curious) about related fields including behavior change, sustainability, transportation, TDM, city planning, community development, and economic development.
Active participation in industry-relevant professional associations and committees.
Experience managing large projects for both private and public clients.ย 
Desire to positively affect the community, region, and environment.ย

Compensation
The pay range for this job in Austin is $80,000-$110,000 annually. Placement within the range is based upon experience, skill sets, and qualifications.
