Job description

The Manager, Operations is responsible for assisting in the administration, planning, budgeting, and direction for the operations of PeoplesBank Arena, including front and back of house services, technical services, information technology, conversion, custodial services, and equipment inventory control.

This role pays an annual salary of $65,000-$75,000

  • Manage all staff involved in housekeeping, conversion, and technical services
  • Develop, maintain, and manage operating procedures relating to housekeeping, technical service, 24-hour facility security, and conversion.
  • Manage the day-to-day maintenance of the ice surface in accordance with AHL regulations.
  • Develop preshow department staffing estimates of expense for the Event Manager and Accounting.
  • Review and recommend day-to-day operational policies and procedures for the Operations department.
  • Research, review, and recommend equipment, materials, and supplies required for the Operations department.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of Operations.

  • 3-5 years of increasing responsibility in facility operations, including housekeeping, conversion, and technical services. Knowledge of ice rink maintenance preferred.
  • High school diploma required. College degree preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and demanding hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritize quickly.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Knowledge in determining and coordinating logistical needs for very large events, preferably in a large sports arena or event facility.
  • Proficiency with general office PC applications.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high-priority projects with attention to detail.
  • Applicants must be proactive self-starters able to work autonomously.
  • Demonstrated sound organizational, coordinating, and personal interface skills.
