Freight Specialist - Freight Warehouse - Grizzly Industrial
Location: Springfield, MO Pay: $18.00-$20.00/hour Schedule: Full-Time Start Date: ASAP

Grizzly Industrial is looking for a detail-oriented, safety-focused, and dependable Freight Specialist to support our busy Springfield distribution center. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in accuracy, and thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment, this role puts you right at the heart of our logistics operation. This position also functions as a primary forklift driver/operator, responsible for safely moving, loading, and unloading materials throughout the facility.
What You'll Do
Freight Receiving
  • Unload inbound containers and trucks (forklift or by hand)
  • Inspect, count, and verify products
  • Complete receiving documentation accurately

Shipping Operations
  • Pick and pack customer orders
  • Verify shipment accuracy and process orders in multiple software systems
  • Build/repair crates, wrap and band pallets
  • Load outbound trucks and complete Bills of Lading
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory checks

Customer Service
  • Assist showroom customers with order verification
  • Load purchased items into customer vehicles

Stocking & Warehouse Support
  • Stock products into racking and update RF inventory
  • Wrap pallets and maintain warehouse organization
  • Support special projects and collaborate with other departments

What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of safe forklift experience (required)
  • Basic computer skills for shipping and inventory entry
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs. unassisted and perform physical warehouse tasks
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and customer service mindset
  • Dependable team player who stays calm under pressure and adapts quickly

Work Environment
  • Fast-paced, accuracy-driven warehouse
  • Mix of repetitive tasks and shifting priorities
  • Approximately 75% physical work (standing, walking, lifting, forklift operation)
