Job Summary

The Operations Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the logistical aspects of operations within the company. This includes managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods and services throughout the supply chain. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate logistics activities:
    • Plan, organize, and manage the logistics operations to ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods.
    • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of goods.
    • Monitor and track shipments to ensure they are delivered on time and in compliance with regulations.
Transportation and distribution:
    • Coordinate transportation activities, including route planning, carrier selection, and shipment scheduling.
    • Ensure the proper packaging, labeling, and documentation of goods for transportation.
    • Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Process improvement:
    • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Streamline logistics processes to minimize lead times and improve overall customer satisfaction.
Compliance and risk management:
    • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations governing logistics operations.
    • Identify and mitigate operational risks to minimize disruptions to the supply chain.
    • Stay updated with industry trends and developments to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • GDP experience an asset.
  • Proven experience in logistics operations, preferably in a coordinator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficient in using logistics software, such as inventory management systems and transportation management systems.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work overtime or monitor shipments during off hours.
$50,000 - $58,000 a year
