Summary
The Operation Manager - Control Tower will oversee the day-to-day operations of DSV's transportation and logistics division, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This position will be responsible for managing staff, developing, and implementing operational policies and procedures, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the transportation and logistics division, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Manage staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation, to ensure that all team members are working effectively and efficiently.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, including productivity, cost, and quality, and develop plans to improve performance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and vendors, ensuring that all parties are informed and satisfied with the services provided.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including sales and customer service, to ensure that all aspects of the business are aligned and working together effectively.

Educational background / Work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management or a related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in transportation and logistics management, preferably in a supervisory or management role.

Skills & Competencies
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $75,000 - $92,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
