About the Role

As a Logistics Specialist I, you'll help drive the efficiency and success of aviation operations by supporting the movement, documentation, tracking, and storage of critical materials, equipment, spare parts, tools, and technical manuals. Your work will directly impact operational readiness, inventory accuracy, and supply chain performance in a highly regulated and safety-sensitive environment.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare and maintain logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and technical manuals.
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving activities while ensuring accurate routing and documentation.
  • Track logistics materials, repair parts, equipment, and components throughout the supply chain.
  • Support inventory control processes and storage allocation activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment, parts, and related documentation.
  • Assist with import/export compliance and gain familiarity with applicable state, federal, and international regulations.
  • Utilize inventory management systems and shipping databases to support logistics operations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of critical materials.
  • Support safe handling, storage, and transportation of materials in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Required QualificationsEducation
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Higher-level education may substitute for certain experience requirements.
Skills & Experience
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Willingness to work in a safety-sensitive environment.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
 Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with any of the following will stand out:

  • Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems.
  • HazMat Training and/or Certification.
  • Forklift operation experience.
  • Experience using shipping platforms such as FedEx, DHL, or UPS.
  • Understanding of shelf-life management processes.
  • Experience within the Aerospace and Defense industry, U.S. Department of Defense, or U.S. Military environments.
  • Knowledge of aviation logistics and maintenance support operations.
Physical & Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to:

  • Frequently walk, stand, sit, and climb stairs.
  • Perform repetitive hand, arm, and finger movements requiring dexterity.
  • Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Utilize close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and color recognition.
  • Occasionally work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Occasionally work in environments with elevated noise levels.
  • Rarely encounter fumes or hazardous materials.
