Position Summary... What you'll do...Role summary:
The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management - Ocean Forwarding leads the strategy and development of our ocean freight forwarding product.  In this role, you’ll build the global logistics services we offer to shippers by working closely with marketplace and logistics teams on complex projects to scope, design, implement, and launch new commercial services. You will influence organizational change, leverage your technical acumen, and manage the commercial P&L. Your leadership will be pivotal in advancing Walmart’s operational excellence and sustaining competitive advantage in a dynamic market environment.
About the team:
The team leads the development and expansion of global logistics and international freight forwarding services focused on convenience, reliability, and cost efficiency for marketplace sellers. It drives strategic initiatives in ocean and air freight consolidation while aligning commercial product roadmaps with Walmart’s systems strategy. Collaborating across supply chain, marketplace, product, and engineering functions, the team delivers enterprise-wide programs, manages profit and loss responsibilities, and meets financial objectives. Committed to accountability, integrity, and operational excellence, the team advances Walmart’s global logistics capabilities through innovative solutions and cross-functional partnership.
What you'll do:
  • Thinking Big - You will build the strategic vision for ocean forwarding and design the roadmap to exceed customer expectations.
  • Deliver for the Customer - Drive program development lifecycles to meet critical launch timelines understand for services that they love.
  • Moving Fast - Use your ocean freight forwarding industry domain expertise to prioritize the development of capabilities that deliver unique customer value. 
  • Lead the Commercial Product - You will lead the development of goals, plans, and commercial requirements to drive growth for ocean freight (FCL, LCL), and adjacent service.
  • Work Cross-Functionally - Communication and collaboration are key to your success.

What you'll bring:
  • Extensive experience building ocean freight forwarding services and driving operational efficiencies.
  • Self-starter mentality with ability to juggle multiple tasks to meet aggressive timelines. 
  • Proven technical acumen to develop detailed business requirements for Tech and Engineering partner teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and achieve business objectives.
  • Proficiency in utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial acumen to support decision-making.
  • Strategic mindset with experience in supply chain optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
