Job description

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Logistic Services Manager develops and manages the use of technology systems, labor resources, processes, and protocols in regard to the delivery of interoffice mail, instructional materials, furniture and equipment, test materials and textbooks to meet the requested needs of schools and staff. Manages and oversees district surplus processes.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Supervises, evaluates, trains, and directs warehouse staff; manages hiring, performance documentation, recognition, discipline, and resolution of employee concerns
Manages and schedules centralized receiving, site pickups, and delivery of interoffice mail, instructional materials, furniture, equipment, textbooks, and test materials
Processes receipts and maintains inventory control for food shipments and warehouse materials
Monitors vendor contracts and service agreements to ensure compliance with district standards and operational requirement
Oversees the removal, evaluation, and disposition of surplus or obsolete furniture and equipment, including reuse, auction, and disposal determinations
Collaborates with executive leadership and district departments to identify service needs, improve distribution processes, and enhance customer service delivery
Plans, organizes, and schedules fleet vehicle routes for daily districtwide pickups and deliveries
Coordinates the secure pickup, delivery, and accountability of testing materials in partnership with Testing and Assessment leadership to ensure material integrity and compliance
Conducts staff meetings and professional development related to district policies, warehouse operations, safety procedures, and departmental goals
Develops and manages departmental operating budgets and oversees records retention, retrieval, and destruction processes in accordance with established guidelines
Required to have prompt, regular attendance in person and be available to work on-site during regular business hours and as needed
Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator or their representative

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Associate's degree or higher in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field required
Additional years of equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement


Certifications/Licenses:
OSHA Certification required. Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent preferred


Experience:
8 years of experience working in warehouse
5 years of supervisory experience required
Experience in K12 education or public sector preferred
