Job description

Systems, LLC, an affiliate of Chamberlain Group, is a U.S.-based manufacturer of loading dock equipment-marketed under the Poweramp, DLM, and McGuire brands. With manufacturing facilities in Germantown, Wisconsin and Malvern, Arkansas, all products are designed and produced in the USA using lean manufacturing techniques. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage daily outbound shipping operations to ensure customer orders are picked, staged, loaded, and shipped accurately and on time throughout the day
  • Coordinate carrier scheduling, dock door assignments, trailer utilization, and load planning to meet daily ship targets and freight cost objectives
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of shipping documentation and system transactions, including bills of lading, packing lists, and export/customs documentation
  • Recommend revisions to shipping standard operating procedures and standardized work based on improvements and changes in the business
  • Establish root cause for shipping process deviations (mis-shipments, short shipments, late shipments, damage) and drive corrective actions to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Manage shipping associates to ensure safety and service objectives are met while ensuring cost and asset utilization targets are met
  • Implement improvement initiatives in order to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost within the shipping operation
  • Advise team, manage, and create strategic plans for shipping and load-out activities that can be implemented to achieve on-time shipment goals and objectives
  • Manage first and secondary-level internal support and serve as primary point of contact for shipping
  • Manage design, documentation, optimization, and implementation of shipping, staging, and load-out procedures
  • Manage Shipping Leads during physical inventory to ensure proper procedures are followed for staged and in-transit goods and accurate updates are made to inventory
  • Collaborate with Shipping Leads to prepare and provide assistance during internal and external inventory audits; apply lean concepts to shipping continuous improvement initiatives, Kaizens, and Gemba Walks; champion system changes and shipment accuracy improvements; provide coaching and mentoring to the shipping team
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group's and Systems' reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

Supervision Exercised
  • Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members
  • Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company's policies
  • Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communication.
  • Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the CG mission, vision and values.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or related field required
  • 5+ years of experience working in implementing/supporting logistics network inhouse
  • 5+ years of experience working in a supervisor role
  • Ability to use an ERP/MRP system
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel 20% this includes domestic and international

The pay range for this position is $72,300.00 - $116,775.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
