Position Summary
The Freight Broker serves as the primary communication and negotiation link between customers and carrier partners. This role is responsible for sourcing carrier capacity, building customer relationships, coordinating shipments, and ensuring freight moves safely, efficiently, and on time.
Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
What You’ll Do
  • Coordinate and dispatch freight shipments by matching loads with carrier partners
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and carriers
  • Negotiate rates and provide exceptional customer service throughout the shipment process
  • Track shipments, resolve service issues, and ensure on-time delivery
  • Identify new business opportunities and help grow customer accounts
What We’re Looking For
  • 1+ year of brokerage, logistics, transportation, or sales experience preferred
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and driven to succeed
  • Experience with load boards such as DAT or Truckstop and proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred
