Job Description

As a Transportation Agent with Expeditors you will take ownership of a customer portfolio, being responsible for bookings, accurate deliveries and scheduling of transportation between customer, service provider and receiver. You will provide timely and accurate documentation, processes through Expeditors systems within the operational process standards. You will communicate delays and work with autonomy to solve challenges to achieve delivery needs of your clients. This is an entry level position that provides opportunity for advancement based on success.  Strong training program available to develop skillset with leading global logistics provider.

  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
  • Track and Trace truck transportation shipments and reporting
  • Coordinate truck deliveries across Minnesota, Wisconsin, North and South Dakota
  • Ensure accurate and timely client billing
  • Understand all the elements of the our operating procedures and correctly interpret this information to fulfill our customer´s instructions and expectations.
  • Contribute and maintain good relationships with suppliers
  • Meet both company and US compliance standards at all times 
  • Meet KPI standards in accordance with Company policy
  • Communicate with internal/external customers to coordinate the delivery of cargo shipments into the Minneapolis market.
Qualifications

*Position Hours are 09:00 am to 18:00pm - Monday-Friday

  • Previous experience within the logistics field or equivalent training of 2 years
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree 
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: You will be responsible for communicating effectively with customers and to ensure a compliant and complete shipment process in a timely manner, documenting customer needs for future use, and maintaining an excellent working relationship with your customers. 
  • Operational Excellence: You will take ownership of understanding and complying with Expeditors internal process standards, to complete timely, accurate and compliant documentation, customer billings and system updates accordingly.
  • Service Provider Relationships: As a Transportation Agent you will build strong partnerships with multiple Service Providers ensuring your clients is serviced to a high level, you will ensure accurate and timely invoicing for your service providers.

Additional Information

Expected base salary: $22/hr to $24/hr

May be eligible for bonus following first year of continuous employment in position.
