Position Summary


The Commercial Operations Analyst position plays a key role in the end-to-end operational support of Vinattieri 1385โ€™s sales and marketing organization. The primary duties of the job include wine item setup, wholesale registration and compliance, pricing and allocation administration, as well as several other areas of critical support. The position works collaboratively across several departments to support strategic decision-making that is aligned with organizational goals.

Classification: Full-Time/Salary, Exempt


Compensation: $80-$90k/year


Primary Responsibilities

  • Item Setup โ€“ Coordinate with the winery production team to gather item master data and input the required specifications accurately across internal and external technology platforms. Scrub master data for inaccuracies and perform audits regularly.
  • Compliance โ€“ Maintain on time and accurate compliance submissions with compliance partners, and ensure the company stays compliant in the US Wholesale channel. Review and submit annual state brand registration renewals to ensure compliance and cost control.
  • Allocation Administration โ€“ Administer the wholesale allocation system, partnering with sales and marketing leadership to define appropriate quantities ahead of market release dates.
  • FOB Pricing Administration โ€“ Administer FOB pricing in our ERP system for stateside and direct import markets. Coordinate with sales managers to provide library pricing as requested.
  • DTC Reporting โ€“ Provide DTC leaders with KPIs including wine sales, revenue, wine pour usage, wine club attrition, visitation and other analysis as required.
  • Supply Planning โ€“ Collaborate with logistics and sales to lead monthly planning meetings to efficiently manage stock levels for wholesale and DTC business.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong team player with exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • 2+ years of experience in wine industry operations, logistics, analytics, or a similar role.
  • Tech savvy with proficiency in wine industry tools such as VIP, Ship Compliant, Commerce7, Wine Pulse.
  • Advanced Excel skills. ERP system experience is a plus. Ability to use Power BI and other analytics tools.
  • Foundational understanding of 3-tier beverage alcohol system.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and pivot in a fast-paced โ€œstart-upโ€ environment.

Ideal Candidate Experience

  • Experience in the wine or beverage industry, with an understanding of wholesale distribution channels, pricing, and inventory management.
  • Experience working with complex import supply chain processes and distributor logistics networks.
  • Demonstrated success in report building processes, including requirements gathering, defining scope, development, and training stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with finance, accounting, ERP systems โ€“ NetSuite, JD Edwards, or similar.
