Job Summary
We are seeking a Logistics Specialist for a contract opportunity in Omaha, NE, supporting international logistics operations for raw materials and finished goods. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented supply chain professional who enjoys coordinating global shipments, managing export documentation, working with freight forwarders, and improving transportation processes.
The Logistics Specialist will partner closely with manufacturing sites, quality teams, finance, regulatory partners, customers, and global logistics providers to ensure shipments move accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with export requirements. This is a strong opportunity to join a collaborative, process-driven environment where teamwork, communication, accuracy, and continuous improvement are highly valued. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate international export shipments for raw materials, finished goods, samples, and special product transfers.
- Prepare, validate, and manage export documentation to support customs clearance and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate with freight forwarders, global partners, customers, manufacturing sites, and internal stakeholders to schedule shipments and resolve logistics issues.
- Monitor orders in transit, track shipment status, maintain shipping metrics, and provide updates to internal teams.
- Analyze logistics data to identify cost savings, process improvements, transportation efficiencies, and service-level improvements.
- Maintain customer, product, compliance, shipment, inventory, and order status information in logistics systems and databases.
