About the Role:

The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics coordination to ensure efficient, safe, and accurate movement of products. This role manages the flow of materials through the warehouse, supervises shipping and inventory staff, and coordinates freight shipments with third-party logistics providers. The Warehouse & Logistics Manager ensures timely order fulfillment, maintains accurate inventory levels, and promotes a safe and organized warehouse environment.


Hours & Pay

Schedule: Monday-Friday office hours

Pay Range: $75,000-$85,000 annually


Responsibilities:


Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of products.
  • Ensure efficient workflow and organization within the warehouse to support accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Manage warehouse layout and processes to optimize space utilization and material flow.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.

Logistics & Freight Management

  • Coordinate outbound and inbound freight shipments with logistics partners and carriers.
  • Work closely with third-party logistics companies to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Monitor shipping costs, transit times, and carrier performance.
  • Resolve shipping issues and ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock rotation and storage practices.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and support warehouse staff including shipping coordinators, material handlers, and inventory technicians.
  • Assign tasks, manage schedules, and ensure team productivity.
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all warehouse operations comply with company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote safe work practices and maintain a clean, organized facility.
  • Conduct safety training and address potential hazards proactively.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of materials.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse and logistics processes.
  • Implement systems and best practices that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service levels.
  • Track operational metrics and report on performance indicators.

Materials and Equipment Utilized:

  • Computers, printers, etc.

Working Environment:

  • 5% Manufacturing: clean, low to moderate noise, safety glasses required and other personal protective equipment (PPE) where applicable.
  • 95% - Office

Requirements

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or distribution management.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience managing warehouse staff and coordinating freight shipments.
  • Experience working with logistics providers and freight carriers preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and improve processes.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills.

Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 25%

Physical Requirements:

  • Be able to lift at least 25 lbs. and up to 50 lbs. for short periods
