Description
Tharros supports the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Support Equipment Department (SED) in Lakehurst, NJ. NAWCAD Lakehurst is the primary authority for Navy Aircraft Platform Support Equipment (SE) and supports numerous Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs.
We are seeking a Logistician focused on providing logistics expertise for the Department of Defense (DoD) aircraft SE logistics programs. As a key contributor, the Logistician will be instrumental in optimizing operational effectiveness and delivering strategic solutions in aviation support operations. The role is structured as a hybrid position, requiring flexibility to work on-site when necessary.
  • Analyze and coordinate logistical functions across the entire product life cycle, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and resource disposal.
  • Apply logistics and technical expertise to support decision-making for aircraft SE logistics programs and projects.
  • Conduct logistics, technical, or business case analyses to resolve complex problems.
  • Participate as a team member and support logistics programs and project initiatives.
  • Implement and oversee government-instituted processes for comprehensive product support and logistics data management.
  • Direct and mentor Junior Logisticians on logistics techniques, policies, and processes as needed.
  • Perform tasks independently while adhering to strategic guidelines.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) and 3+ years of experience in DoD acquisition and sustainment logistics OR High School Diploma or equivalent and more than 10 years' experience in acquisition and sustainment logistics and 4 out of the 10 years in international acquisition and sustainment logistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct logistics and support system effectiveness analysis, studies, and evaluations independently.
  • Familiarity with government logistics policies and processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Teams or similar workplace chat and videoconferencing tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
