Job Title: Director of Operations

Location: Sulphur, LA

Pay: $100,000 - 110,000

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in transportation, logistics, passenger transportation, trucking, or fleet operations
  • Proven success leading multi-site operations and managing large frontline workforces
  • Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations, fleet operations, driver management, and transportation compliance
  • Experience managing operational budgets, KPIs, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and build high-performing teams
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred


Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for multi-site transportation operations
  • Lead, coach, and develop operations managers, dispatch teams, maintenance leaders, and frontline personnel
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company policies
  • Oversee fleet utilization, dispatch, scheduling, route optimization, and service delivery to maximize operational efficiency
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), financial performance, labor productivity, and customer satisfaction metrics
  • Partner closely with Safety, Maintenance, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership to achieve operational objectives
