Job description

Operations Manager

As a global leader in micromobility, Lime is on a mission to build a future where transportation is shared, affordable and carbon-free. Lime has powered more than one billion rides in close to 30 countries across five continents, spurring a new generation of clean alternatives to car ownership.

As an Operations Manager at Lime you are a market manager for the Washington, D.C. area. You are the eyes on the ground and the voice of Lime with city officials, community members, and businesses promoting safety, increasing ridership and understanding of what local riders want. You are the voice of Operations to internal stakeholders and an internal collaborator. You work cross-functionally with government relations, central ops, product, etc. and will execute the market strategy while optimizing the fleet for the market. You will also maintain your markets P&L and you'll manage a team of early career warehouse staff; providing guidance and coaching to ensure everyone performs at their best.

This is a warehouse-based position that requires an onsite presence during assigned business hours.

What You'll Do:
  • Warehouse Management: Manage day-to-day warehouse operations and staff across multiple shifts. This includes managing workforce schedules (including temps), resolving attendance and timesheet discrepancies, and planning staffing needs.

  • Repair & Maintenance: Ensure high fleet availability and reliability by monitoring repair output, mechanic performance, and quality standards.

  • Team Performance: Set clear KPIs for mechanic productivity and efficiency; provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action where needed.

  • Parts & Inventory Management: Oversee ordering, tracking, auditing, and usage of spare parts and tools; ensure accurate parts assignment and availability.

  • Safety & Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols, PPE standards, and workplace compliance requirements; spearhead local safety initiatives.

  • Operational Excellence: Optimize warehouse layout, workflows, and processes to maximize efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with fleet operations, logistics, government relations, and product teams to ensure smooth coordination and compliance with regulations.

  • Reporting & Data Use: Analyze warehouse data, repair output, and performance metrics to identify trends, drive improvements, and control costs.

  • Special Projects: Manage warehouse-focused initiatives such as Backlog Reduction Plans, Tool Management, PPE Standardization, and Fleet Refurbishment Projects.

About You:
  • 4+ years of experience in operations management, industrial & systems engineering, logistics, transportation, supply chain, data analytics or a related field.

  • Strong data analysis skills: intermediate to advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.

  • Experience managing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception to execution.

  • Knowledge of how a P&L functions

  • Ability to understand metrics and KPIs and the levers to pull to drive results

  • Comfortable with working on site and in a warehouse environment

  • Analytically minded with a strong understanding of real-time marketplaces (supply and demand economics) and the ability to navigate, decode, and use data to build compelling narratives and reports.

  • Ability to thrive in a hands-on, problem-solving environment with a high degree of self-direction.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Fluent verbal and written English language skills

Preferred Experience:
  • SQL or business intelligence tools experience

  • Familiarity with city regulations and compliance frameworks in mobility, transportation, or related industries

The base salary range listed reflects what Lime reasonably expects to offer for this role, with the final base salary determined by objective factors such as the candidate's location and relevant skills and experience.
