This position reports directly to Operations Manager and will have a high level of collaboration with Quality Assurance, Production, Sanitation, Maintenance and Logistics.

Inovata Foods Corp. is looking for an Assistant Operations Manager to partner with us as we bring families and friends together through offering wholesome and convenient meals. The role is located in our Tillsonburg, Ontario facility. Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of wholesome control brand frozen meals for many of North America's largest retailers.

Position Details:

•Vacancy Type: Planned Vacancy

•Pay Range: 90k - 100k

Primary Responsibilities:

•Supports the Operations Manager in overseeing daily plant operations across production, sanitation, maintenance and logistics to ensure safe, efficient and quality compliant output.

•Assigns and manages the duties of departmental personnel and production supervisors to ensure the timely production of quality food products.

•Maintains positive employee relations through consistent communication, coaching and counseling, including one on one feedback, performance appraisals and departmental meetings.

•Supports the administration of disciplinary procedures following thorough investigation, ensuring consistent application of the Progressive Discipline Policy.

•Ensures compliance with Company safety policies and applicable health and safety legislation, including hazard reports, accident investigations, work refusals and first aid.

•Assists Production Supervisors in training and orienting new employees on Company expectations and policies.

•Supports HACCP and SQF program requirements, GMP standards and related quality reporting, including monthly plant and equipment inspections.

•Steps in for the Operations Manager or Production Supervisors as needed to maintain continuity of operations.

•Supports continuous improvement initiatives and operational projects as directed.

•Other projects as assigned.

Requirements:

•5+ years' experience working in a food manufacturing or production environment.

Position may require varying start times and extended working hours with occasional weekends and shift coverage to support production requirements.
