Job description

A Day in the Life
As an Inventory Planning Manager, you will play an important part in providing leadership and direction to the inventory planning team by ensuring all inventory planning activities are managed and executed according to client and customer needs. You'll be working with product from some amazing clients that are heavily involved in the active lifestyle industry.
You will oversee inventory planning processes, support team development, and collaborate with clients and distribution center leadership to optimize inventory accuracy, storage capacity, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization, including clients and operational teams. This person will have a strategic and analytical approach to inventory planning, while also being hands-on in leading, coaching, and developing a team.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities, and collaborating within a dynamic, positive, and fast-paced environment.

The Must Haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience leading an inventory planning team preferred
  • Previous experience in inventory planning, supply chain, logistics, or distribution operations
  • Previous experience supporting apparel and/or footwear operations in a pick-and-pack environment is an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to perform essential job functions, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., walking and standing for extended periods, climbing ladders/stairs, working in elevated areas, and tolerating warehouse conditions such as dust, dirt, noise, odors, heat, and cold
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required

Things You Will be Doing
  • Lead, train, coach, and develop the Inventory Planning team to ensure operational goals and client expectations are met
  • Provide daily direction, support, and guidance to Inventory Planners while removing obstacles and ensuring progress
  • Manage team performance, conduct performance reviews, and address performance concerns as needed
  • Oversee attendance management, including reviewing timesheets and following up on attendance-related issues
  • Communicate company updates, process changes, and operational expectations to the team
  • Collaborate with clients to obtain forecasts, item master data, and usage information to develop optimal inventory footprints
  • Partner with distribution center leadership to optimize storage locations based on business and client needs
  • Manage inventory planning processes, including item dimensions, containerization setup, and storage optimization
  • Ensure client footprints are established and maintained ahead of new seasons
  • Ensure accurate import and maintenance of client item master data prior to receipt timelines
  • Audit facility locations and ensure inventory updates are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Provide support and guidance to Inventory Planners across offsite facilities
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment by following NRI safety rules, procedures, and protocols
  • Support injury reporting, stay-at-work, and return-to-work programs when required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to NRI facilities based on business needs. Travel frequency may vary depending on operational priorities, client support, and project requirements.
